"Good"

7.0

Everything was good and the house was quite charming

The living room has a big balcony with windows that receive sunlight first thing in the am. As there are no blinds it's not possible to leave the bedroom doors open on to seat in the couch in the morning as it is too hot and bright. I can imagine this would make it very hard for anyone wanting to sleep in the bedroom lounge aswell

"Charming and comfortable cottage"

10.0

The cottage is lovely. The design and decor are light, bright and charming. Bed was particularly comfortable. I came on the coldest days of the year and I found the lounge room difficult to heat to my usual standard (which is very warm, granted), but I know that level of heat would be fine for most people. The bedroom is light with a cosy vibe and easy to heat. I cooked my meals each day and found the kitchen equipped just fine. The gift on arrival was a nice extra touch. Pedro was easy to communicate with, always helpful and fast to respond. Much appreciated. The location is excellent for driving to all the sights and destinations in the region. Particularly close to Dark Sky Observatory. And the the lake, several castles and megalithic stones are easy drives on quiet roads. The little village is super quiet and very typical of rural Portugal. The few people I walked by all gave me a jovial 'boa tarde'. Parking right out front was no problem, little park with green area and seats at the end of the street.

"Comfy, but weird vibes in the village"

8.0

The bed was quite comfortable and the house is quite well organized and fit for 2 people and a dog. The property owner left us with some gifts (wine and local pastry), which was a nice touch. It's close to the river beaches and the dam.

There was plenty of flies inside when we arrived at the house. There is also no hairdryer, which would be a very small investment, but really useful for the guests. The village had a bad vibe, with a lot of demolished and abandoned houses and almost no population to be seen on the streets.
