Casa Rujo - Waterside Village House

Very good communication with the host, a great location, everything is very close, and Luz itself is simply a wonderful place with a fantastic beach. Convenient parking and a quiet neighbourhood. We really appreciated the heating, as the first days were cooler and rainy. Overall, we had a good impression, and there was a lovely atmosphere in the living room on the second floor.

The kitchen could have been better equipped, as several things were missing for those who need to cook regularly. There were only two dishwasher tablets left for a seven-day stay, and since we cooked every day, cleaning the kitchen took quite a lot of time. During our holiday, we also had to go to the shop to buy toilet paper, as there was not enough provided. There was no shower soap or shower gel either, so we had to buy those as well. There was also no iron. Overall, the equipment and basic supplies were poor, especially considering the price. We also didn’t understand which capsules were needed for the coffee machine, so it took us two days before we finally managed to have coffee. :) There was only one blanket for the large bed, although we were travelling as four people and not as a couple, which the host knew. The fact that two people had to share one blanket was quite uncomfortable and awkward. The house is narrow, with almost no real hallway, and there is no proper place to hang coats or put suitcases, so the first floor felt inconvenient. Although the view from the second-floor window is beautiful, it should be noted that it can only really be enjoyed while standing — when sitting on the terrace, the ocean is not visible. It is difficult to comment on accommodation standards in Portugal in general, but in this case the price was high and the deposit was very large. We would definitely not choose this type of accommodation again, as overall we felt more disappointed than satisfied.

Es hat alles gestimmt…..die Lage, die Ausstattung und der Wohlfühlfaktor! Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Entgegekommen des Vermieters!!

Het is een ideaal huis met genoeg ruimte. Vanaf het balkon heb je uitzicht op zee! 2 minuten lopen naar het strand wat relaxed is omdat je met een gezin met grotere kinderen ieder zijn//haar ding kan doen. De communicatie met de verhuurder verliep super en flexibel. Wij raden deze accommodatie zeer aan.

Plenty of space for 4 with a wonderful view. Tons of natural light, but privacy shutters for safety and deep sleeping. Both bathrooms nearly identical. A fantastic location near the beach, restaurants, and included parking. A washing machine (but not dryer) is included in the kitchen! Really a terrific stay. Praia de Luz is a cute and quiet town with enough options to keep you interested, and close to enough of the Algarve for exploring.

Only one key provided for the 4 of us, and not quite enough toilet paper.

The standard and quality of the property was first class, better than we imagined. The location was great close to the beach and shops and restaurants. The view from the balcony was great.

Stunning view, modern town house lovely equipped with all that’s required for an excellent stay, perfectly situated in the quiet center with short walking distances to the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores. Absolutely outstanding service by the property management team.
