Zen Guest House is located in the heart of the village of Pesos Fundeiros and has a lot of potential. Positive aspects are the parking spot in front of the house, the peaceful setting in the heart of the village, the comfort of the bed, excellent Wi- Fi, ample selection of TV channels, and a reasonably well equipped kitchen (although customary basics such as oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, etc. are missing, which is a pity).

On the other hand, the overall cleanliness and maintenance has room for improvement. For example, freezer compartment of refrigerator has not been defrosted for months, ceiling light fixtures throughout the house have multiple burned out (or missing) light bulbs. Interior of kitchen cabinets are dusty and show signs of insect activity. Cobwebs on ceilings. Bedthrow heavily stained. Electronic door lock by Nuki temperamental and unreliable. Lastly, the drains in the bathroom emit a very foul odour around the clock. Overall, the house is in need of a thorough spring cleaning, and an in-depth final check prior to arrival of visitors.

You could contact the owner by text, phone or via booking.com usually a quick response, that was good. Now I know the place exists it's on my list of local accommodations

The lock was electronic and mis behaved a number of times, it was not apparent that the mechanical ring if turned to the right unlocked the door. (I only found this out by looking online for info about the lock)
