Hopstays Vilamoura Aldeia do Golfe - House C3

The house was clean and tidy but does need maintenance in the upper shower room in particular. There is an issue with water drainage. House WiFi worked well and generally the house was good (although the beds had sheets which didn't fit and ridiculously large cushions and not enough pillows) Restaurant at the venue was lovely and a great surprise. Shopping was very handy in the Spar onsite.

Arrived late due to flight delays. There was NO access to the locked gated housing area. It took about 45 minutes to locate someone at 0045hrs after contacting cleaners who I found still at the property, after I walked in through a fenced off area. Area in the gated community is rustic, but this was very rustic. only part of the pool system working as the small pool was empty and closed. Very uneven pool surround but clean walkways. Seating and loungers hadn't been cleaned or maintained in many many months or even years. They had water damage and some were cracked and broken. A Severe lack of maintenance generally. The barbeque was broken, dirty and unuseable. The back yard was great but wasn't cleaned that well. On leaving to go home at the end of our stay, just before 0800, again the gate area was locked and not an automated exit, despite camera surveillance at the gate, no-one let us out. Tried calling the emergency number and got someone who couldn't speak english, which I've never encountered in Portugal before! Eventually got the Spar staff (who were brilliant) to contact them... made us very late for our flight. This access issue is utterly unacceptable really.. Would I go back,.. probably not

The location was great, proximity to the supermarket was great, enough pots and pans were available.

Cleanliness was terrible of the whole villa plus this villa is in need of major maintenance. Its over used and abused. There were cobwebs everywhere, under the tables, behind the lampshades etc. Inspite of informing the host their manager didn't bother to accept nor bothered to come and see what a terrible job his cleaning staff was doing. This really put me and my family off completely. The table on the terrace had a whole layer of dust on it as if it wasnt cleaned in weeks. The barbeque was yuck and there were small small things strewn around the barbeque which the cleaning staff didn't bother to clean. The pots, pans & cutlery were dirty when we moved in and had to wash them all before using them. The cleanliness bit was quite yuck !! The paint was peeling off in places. Basically this villa is over used and abused, needs maintenance before they rent it out. There are many other similar villas in the area which maybe a better option.

Upon arrival the facility was very easy to access and the house was perfectly clean. All the facilities like Wifi, dishwasher, and AC worked perfectly in the whole house. I really liked the big common space/living room with a big TV and a comfy couch. The outside patio and terrace were also very nice. The house itself seemed to be newly refurbished, the bed were comfy, bathrooms modern and clean. The location is also very great, 1 minute walk from a supermarket, and quite close to many beaches. Weather you want to go Albufeira, Faro, Almancil or Vilamoura, this house is in the middle of it all!

The location was great if you like quiet with some outdoor space. The proximity to small market to pick items up is convenient. Short drive to towns is realy great. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are enough room for family. The kitchen has lots of room to prepare food. The outdoor patio is a great space though it could use some cushions for the concrete benches.

The pictures of the house are not recent. The main issue we had was the patio doors to the back deck could not be locked so you had to lock the shutters so not great. The main bedroom window could not be opened as the handle was broken so no fresh air or light. The upstairs bathroom sink is broken and needs to be replaced, the tub has been replaced with a shower. The main floor bathroom also needs to updated. The kitchen sink faucet is loose and leaks into the cabinet below. The "wood" planks upstairs some are lifting.

Could not of picked a better house to stay in for a weeks holiday for family of 6. It was safe, quiet, SPAR (supermarket) less than a minute walk, gorgeous pool with pool chairs less than a minute walk - location was perfect for what we wanted but if you’re looking for a busy atmosphere this area can be very quiet, a taxi ride of 15mins sometimes less than €10 to the Marina and €35 to Albufeira. Isabel and the team checked in on us and were there straight away if we needed anything. The house has everything you could possibly need, fully kitted kitchen, plenty of towels too! We were so sad to leave.
