JPA Home with History: Experiencing Swedish Culture Beyond Tourism Staying at this accommodation has taught me the Swedish value of preserving historical houses through careful renovation and continuous living. Each piece of timber bears the weight of accumulated history. This house, built in a time when winters were harsher and the sea level stood a meter higher, offers a unique perspective on Swedish culture and its deep connection with nature, far beyond conventional tourism. During our stay, we were fortunate to witness the northern lights. Yet, the true charm of this place lies not in chance encounters but in experiencing the perfect hospitality and the profound essence alive within the house.

Instead of apologizing for putting at rent this ``garbage'' location, even at a relatively low price
Disaster, deplorable house!! Very worn wood floor, holes and dirty walls. Electrical outlets hang dangerously, as do the light bulbs. Has some woden beds, very very worn. Other beds, metal maded, are roughly welded. Very used bed linen. The smell of a drain, in the kitchen. It needs complete renovation. I'm just presenting the reality / see the review photos of GoogleMap location.

EEThe location was nice and quiet.
It was quite basic, but had all what we needed.
PLA lovely well-equipped refurbished old timber house, in a sleepy village just outside of Kalix. A great place for our group of six to rest while travelling between northern Norway and Helsinki - standard as described. Could be a great base for anybody who likes being away from the crowds and wants to explore the area around the north of the Baltic Sea.
USPetr is a very good host.
INThe host was super nice. What surprised me (in a good way, obviously) is that we arrived at the location quite late at night (~1am) and Petr was still awake to welcome us. He was very welcoming. The apartment was clean when we arrived. It's a one-hour drive from the Luleå airport.
