"Superb"

We enjoied our stay in Casa da Boto. It is a two bedrooms old house Madeiran style, with a small luxury garden around where you can nicely arrange the table for meals. It is confortably located close to the main road from the airport to Funchal, but still in a very quiet spot; it also has a dedicated place for your car (don't rent a big one, though). Definitely, a nice place to stay to visit the wonderful island of Madeira.

At the time of our visit it needed some work in the toilet, but we saw it was going to get started right after our departure.

"Lovely house with a beautiful garden!"

The house is placed in a lovely spot where you can just open the bedroom door in the morning and enjoy the sunrise from the bed! You get the entire house for yourself, along with a garden and a beautiful terrace to enjoy your meals surrounded by flowers. The owner was super nice, and even surprised us with eggs and delicious, home-grown bananas left in the kitchen.

Not the most luxurious place you could stay at; can get a little humid at times. Still - the place was well equipped with everything we needed for a week-long stay (even a washing machine). All-in-all great value for the price.

"Cosy place that has everything you need"

A comfortable place with good facilities and a number of rooms The host was helpful and responsive with all questions Nice garden and view over the ocean

It was cold in the mornings Recommended location if you have a car, as public transport options are not great
