Remote Cabin WV Retreat-Escape from the Norm

The quietness and the ability to feel relaxed and relieved to be in nature. So refreshing and amazing to be out of town and with my husband.

Never had any problems or dislikes

Did not eat breakfast out but dinner was great. I am sure breakfast would have been just as good the place we had dinner was called the Lost River Grill. The kitchen in cabin was very nice and accommodating making it easy to use.

A more comfortable mattress would be nice my back is not that great and a first floor bedroom for adults would be perfect for an option. The sulphur smell was bad and posed a problem for color treated hair.

I loved the location, nestled in the woods, yet close to Lost River State Park. The cabin itself was so warm and cozy, and we truly felt at home there.

I didn't like the deer head on the wall.

The cabin is amazing!! in the middle of nowhere with everything you need!! clean, cozy and welcoming. This is a place for those who like to experience the real woods.

The owner said clearly it was pet friendly, however when we asked about our cat she said cats are not allowed. This should have been mentioned upfront in the description. There is no AC in the bedroom upstairs. There is a fan but it is very noisy.

the property was very well maintained and the layout was very nice along with the views around the area.

the only downfall is it is a decent ways away from a lot of things such as grocery stores and food locations so be prepared to take a drive or make sure you have enough food! overall a great place to stay and have no complaints!

My goodness where to start. I didn't even see my teenage kids almost the entire trip they built them a fort a day told us they have never seen such a beautiful place. It's like a movie fairy tale. I will only go here.

Honestly it was truly a 10 out of 10 no complaints and it really did help with stress relief.

My husband and I went here to spend our 7th anniversary. And we have never been on a honeymoon or anniversary get a way but this retreat was the relief we needed. We literally feel like we have shredded all our stress and worries it's just a beautiful place. We did not want to leave. We are going to book 2 vacations this summer to do as a family and this is where its going to be. It comes equipped with everything you will need except food. But kitchen has everything u would ever need and 2. Bedrooms downstairs with bunk beds in both and laundry area with stacked washer and dryer. Has excellent wifi and had a bunch of dvds to watch. Bedroom up stairs had a 1/2 bath and nice size room with a small walkout balcony. No one close to you and no issues with anyone there if u want to escape reality and restart mentally this is the place. I loved it here. The water had a rotten egg smell but there was a pitch with filtration so u would have fresh water to drink we also bought a gallon jug for back up.
