Barenberg Cabin - Secluded Unobstructed Panoramic Smoky Mountains View with Two Master Suites, Loft Game Room, and Hot Tub

The cabin view from the hot tub was beautiful. The cabin was clean and had all of the amenities we wanted.

Not one problem.

Very clean. Cleanest place I’ve stayed in for quite some time. well equipped kitchen and we saw bears!

The smart thermostat would over ride our setting and make the house hot in the mornings. However, a minor Issue.

The views of the mountains were phenomenal. Everything about this cabin was Everything that we expected and more and the hosts were amazing. We got a screw in a tire and they were able to tell us where the closest shop was to get it fixed.

I feel the upstairs bedroom could benefit from additional lighting. It was a little dark in there for me especially at night trying to find clothes in a suitcase.

Views were beautiful! Many activities indoors and out!!

Wish more towels were provided for hot tub time

The cabin itself is very comfortable and inviting - it is well maintained and the deck area provides scenic views and an overall tranquil vibe. We had 2 families of 8 people total (2 grandparents, 4 adults in their 30's, and 2 children 10 and under) and the cabin provided enough space for individual privacy and amenities for all to enjoy (games/streaming TV/hot tub) The cabin is located on the higher part of the mountains so you get a nice top-view from the deck. I also liked the community/neighborhood where the cabin is located - it's not a desolate area so there are other properties in the vicinity, but it's such a quiet neighborhood that one can actually enjoy some privacy. In fact, my one regret is that we didn't spend more time in our own backyard; Instead, we visited nature trails/scenic drives in the Smokey Mountains that aren't too far visually on Google Maps but still ended up being at least 45 minutes one-way and we didn't see nearly as much wildlife as we did near our own cabin (we saw a bear cub on our deck!). A morning walk in the neighborhood will most likely guarantee a nice workout (since there are some pretty steep roads) and bear sightings (we saw one bear on another property during a morning walk & the guy staying in the cabin next to us saw a family of 4 bears during his walk earlier that morning) I especially appreciated how attentive and responsive the hosts are - I had questions on how the check-in process would work and before I even had a chance to inquire, I already received a detailed correspondence from them on how to get into the property and general information on the area. The same with checkout - I wanted to make sure that everything was taken care of and what the check-out expectations were and the hosts proactively sent me a detailed message on what to do the day before checkout. So helpful!

I really can't think of anything I didn't like - we had a great time. If I had to come up with something, I would say the mattress in the first-floor bedroom is pretty soft and you kind of sink into the mattress after some time. Some of the board games were also incomplete and missing pieces ( we tried CLUE and CONNECT4 and then gave up haha)

Wish it had real log or gas fireplace

Very clean. Secluded. Beautiful views. Felt like a lodge.
