"Beware of the location"

We liked the size of the home and the layout. There was plenty of space for our family.

The description, reviews and assurances of safety from the management did not adequately reflect the risks the area poses. We booked The Retreat at Graceland for 4 nights, but we left early because we heard gunshots nearby on the 2nd and 3rd nights. According to news reports, there was a shooting nearby on the second night where a man was injured and the suspect was not yet apprehended.This caused my children to become very afraid and my husband and me to fear for our family's safety. With regards to the house, itself, it needs updates and repairs. The blinds could be fixed and replaced as the broken blinds take away from the aesthetic and privacy of the home. Also, the stand-up showers need to be recaulked so they do not leak. I was concerned about using the washing machine because bleach dispenser was rusted out. I was afraid the rust would damage my clothing. The pool table was a nice add, but the tears on the felt need to be repaired for it to be functional.

How close it was to Graceland, big house, comfortable beds, owner was very nice

House could use some updating, couldn’t figure out how to use the tv, kept asking us to sign in, just wanted to get local channels. Other than that, everything was fine
