Jardim do Mar is a beautiful, sweet spot on the southern coast. Marisela, our host was very easy to communicate with, and she was waiting for us with the keys, and she was also flexible with our check-out. The apartment is superb, we could even use the jakuzzi - for the joy of our sons. :). The place is spacious, and though one of the bedrooms is outside the main apartment, it was not a problem for us, our sons (13, 18) actually loved it. :) There was a washing machine we could use. The ocean and the promenade is 2 mins walk, but you can also see it from the terrace. (And hear the waves 0-24 :) ) The hosts even provided beach towels for us. The street where the apartment is is not accessible by car, but it is very close (3 mins walk) from the parking lot in the center. Jardim do Mar has restaurants, cafés and a small shop, and beautiful, narrow atmospheric winding little streets to walk around. It is also easy to reach from the main highway. According to our younger son, if we ever return to Madeira we should always stay at Recanto Jardim do Mar. :)
