Close to centre and island ferry..

General decor, walls required plastering etc Noise at night (until 2-3am) from nearby Ophelia music bar.

Terrible noise late into the night from the bar opposite. The house opposite is being renovated, so drilling and hammering all day.

We loved our stay. It's a great little house in an excellent location, just one street back from the quay. Very well equipped kitchen, even included a kettle and a teapot for us English tea drinkers! Good wifi. A sun brolly would have been nice for the upstairs terrace as it did get the full sun for most of the day. We would definitely stay again.

The house was perfect, very clean and in a central location. It was kitted out with everything you could possibly need for a stay in Tavira.

The only thing I could say, for me personally, was the bed was a bit hard, other than that it was perfect in every way.

The house had everything we needed and more. The location is superb and the host was very helpful. We were given a very warm welcome. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped.

Marco was a great host, helpful in all respects. Great location. Everything was comfortable and in working order. Kitchen has comprehensive pots, pans and utensils (microwave-proof mugs and a couple of wine glasses would be good).

General lick of paint would be about all it needs. Mirror in bedroom would be useful.

very close to the center, all in the house, heater worked well, upstairs a small nice terrace. Boat to the island 1-2 min. away.There is a Bar nearby, can be loud in summer, but not for younger ones :)

The only thing this place has going for it is the location. It's very close to almost everything you need. Saying that, not matter where you stay in Tavira, you are always within walking distance of the restaurants and shops. It's a very compact little place.

The accommodation needs a deep clean. I had to call the host and ask him to come back and clean the living area it was so dusty and grubby. The fridge was dirty and the kitchen worktop was sticky and greasy I went out and bought cleaning cloth to clean before using. When I arrived the host was moping the floor and so it was wet for ages and a falls risk. He said he had a cleaner that came in between rentals so why was HE moping floors. The photos do NOT reflect the true condition of the place. It's old fashioned and there was lots of evidence of the family who owns it all over the place. Such as children's shoes and female belongings. It is dark and I had to use the internal lights during the daytime because there were no windows in the lounge area. The sofa had a blanket over it and I noticed that underneath it was stained. The washing machine draw came apart in my hand when I tried to wash the towels he left. Sleeping was difficult because the street light opposite shines directly into the 2 main bedrooms. I Had to close the windows and shutters to block it out. So couldn't have windows open which I prefer to air con plus didn't want to even try that, I can only imagine what the filter inside was like! Sitting on the tiny patio was not nice because you can only see into the rooms of the houses opposite the street was very narrow.

Good location, close to ferry and market, good internet, specious small house in local style with 2+1 floors and rooftop terrace. Hospitable host.

Everything was ok

Everything! This beautiful house is located in Tavira, on a quiet street but with easy access to the restaurants and bars in the town. The host is wonderful - so friendly and accommodating and check in and out were super easy. The apartment itself has every amenity you could possibly need. The washing machine was a great addition. The terrace upstairs is beautiful for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a few evening beers. The house was spotless, with great bathroom facilities too. We honestly loved everything about it - we didn't want to leave!
