Casa Miguel

Casa Miguel ligt op de helling met een prachtig uitzicht op de baai van Machico. Na een flink aantal tredes kom je van de weg bij het huis omgeven door een prachtige bloemen tuin. Het overdekte terras inclusief hangmat is ook erg fijn. Locatie is vlak bij het vliegveld. Goede uitvalsbasis voor de populaire wandelroutes PR8 en PR9.

Hoofdkussens (erg hoog), en daar houden wij persoonlijk niet van.

Fantastic house located in the middle of a huge, beautiful garden with breathtaking view! House is large and equipped with everything we needed. Area is extremely quiet - exactly what we wanted. Thank you, Miguel!

Spacious apartments, plenty of space for everyone. Very nice terrace with a view to Machico downtown. All necessary equipment & kitchenware are provided.

Presence of ants in the house (especially in the kitchen). No washing machine. Poor accessibility without a car.

Wonderful spacious house, which has absolutely everything for living. Wonderful garden around. Nearby hiking trails and the beach in Machico. Very attentive owner. I recommend to everyone.

The most amazing views and cozy house🔥 We didn't rent a car because we are afraid of driving on slopes and mountains, so we walked and used public transport. To see the timetable from point A to point B, use the Rome2Rio app. Thank you Mr. Miguel for everything, the house with the garden is paradise!

Quiet elevated location with first floor lounge having magnificent views of valley and bay with a garage on road nearby just in case! Extensive gardens meant felt totally safe. Lots of fully equipped rooms to make it feel like home from home. Appreciated kettle and microwave, as so quick cooking for one, but there was also a large oven and hob if you needed it for family. Complementary Madeiran cake, sherry and selection of tea and coffee useful! Large shower had lots of hot water. Bed was comfortable, with lots of different layers / pillows available and a little oil filled radiator kept room warm overnight.

Panoramic view from the upper floor living room was superb - when the clouds and rain cleared! Unfortunately this valley attracted the clouds and rain a lot during our stay in the first week of July. However, the wide sweeping view of the whole valley down to the sea and up to the hills behind was wonderful in the sunshine!

Downstairs kitchen was dark with no good view. Very steep flight of about 20 or more small steps down to the property so it is not easy to transfer cases down on arrival and up on departure. Fortunately Maria helped us with this on arrival! Anyone with any mobility problems would find it difficult here.
