Mr. Stuart House

Ruim appartement met groot terras en tweede balkon in safe neighborhood. Very pleasant area to stay with easy access to beautiful beaches at about 8 - 10 km by car.

Just a few small points: there were no mugs or cups that fit in the coffeemaker, rubber dots would help the cabinets from closing so loudly, some of the knives in the kitchen need sharpening, I couldn't find any scissors.

We had a great stay and loved the area. It is roughly a 20 minute walk down to the water where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. The house has a lot of parking. The house is really well sized, with a complete kitchen, they also left out a little pack with a sponge, dishwasher tablet and liquid. Really good size bedroom. There is an iron and ironing board. Also the pool didn't get too busy, even in the middle of June, there was always plenty of space. The house is pet friendly. The documentation they share has a lot of useful local information.

2 things that could be improved in my opinion: The house wasn't that well signposted, you receive a welcome document which explains how to get the keys. But the actual front door to get in, and then the room to the apartment, could be better identified of exactly which apartment it is. Also when we stripped the bed sheets upon leaving, we found that the bottom, protective sheet was really peeled.

It is our second time at this apartment, and probably not the last one. Very spacious and comfortable apartment, in a very good location. The swimming pool area is also very pleasant (a good alternative when the weather is not so good). The host, despite of not be present, is very kind.

The pool we didn’t expect water in it but because they were doing maintenance on it wasn’t the nice place to sit relax read a book when we felt like a day in. Because the patio chairs were uncomfortable we couldn’t sit out there either even though cushions were supplied

We had an issue when we arrived with the door lock but the property owners were immediately reachable and sorted the problem very quickly. With small problems that sometimes happen when using appliances we always got the same kind of attention and solutions from the owners.

Location and the apartment are really good, the place is spacious was clean and the furniture is ok.

I had a problem with the lighter for the stove and I had to buy one myself. The host did not care much for my problem and simply said “we tested it and it was working fine”. Also there was no soap in the bathroom which the host explain it was because of covid regulations ( regulation does not forbid leaving a new and sealed soap), also there was only 1 toiled paper roll for a 4 people 7 day stay. I respect the fact the host is NOT required to provide any of this, but there was no warning or guidance to bring your own bathroom soap or toiled paper, which demonstrated lack of care/concern for the guest. Also for families that like to cook, there is a very low quality set of pan & pots. Again the host is NOT required to provide anything better but shows to me that he is more concern to check items on absolute minimum apartment requirements than really trying to provide any comfort or good experience to the guest. For an awesome location and apartment and the rates he charge saving in toilet paper, kitchen cooking set, bathroom soap, kitchen detergent, washing machine soap only sounds that he only cares for the cents and not for the guest (to be fair there were entries in the guide that the kitchen detergent and washing machine soap will not be provided, but again shows that he is only looking to provide the minimum he is required to) Again I believe that if he shows more care by providing extra stuff, more care by not giving answers like we tested and it was working and more care on the kitchen experience this would be the perfect stay ! So I do not think he is far from there I would stay again and I hope he improves those points, improvement is just around the corner and it is easy and not expensive at all.
