Quinta Da Ribeira

Lovely Quinta. Elizabeth & Paul were accommodating. Pool small and busy with all the other guests ..but needs steps for older people to get in and out of. Three & two bedroom apartment fair size, but 1 bedroom very small. Website indicated access to the river but this was not so because of all the vegetation. Needs to be chopped back as swimming and canoeing in the river would have been nice

Both given coordinates didn't work so wasted 6o miles looking for the place. Then when found had to travel down the most awful farm track, narrow, huge bumps, passing was impossible you had to ramp up into the bush if another car came??? The entrance to the quinta was very difficult to get in and out of and was far to narrow for larger cars as you had to drive and line up straight to the entrance and it was impossible as other cars were parked there so scraped the side of our car.....not happy at all. Spoke to Paul and he said he was waiting for the authorities to do something about the track, however, why not get a farmer with a tractor to plough the road and make it wider??? and enlarge the quinta entrance

The location was great, and the serenity of the area was also impressive. The outdoor space was huge and great for children. The kitchen had all the necessary facilities and equipment for cooking. We used the outdoor barbecue and it worked perfectly fine. The pool was nice as well and clean. The host who met us on the property was friendly and also offered us some vegetables from their garden, which was a nice gesture. We overall enjoyed our stay.

Something to bear in mind is that the ad for the 3-Bedroom House mentions a private pool; however, the pool is shared with the other houses and other guests (It doesn't mention anywhere that it is shared, but it says Private - Image below to illustrate). When I pointed out to the host who is managing the ad on Booking.com that this should be clear in the accommodation ad, to manage the guests' expectations before arrival, this person called me a cynic. This made me feel very uncomfortable. On the property, we found a cockroach in the bathroom and some ants in the kitchen. The downstairs room with an extra bed for children had two mattresses on the double bed, which made sleeping uncomfortable because you felt like you were sinking into the bed.

Beautiful place, quiet in the country, bedrooms were very comfortable, kitchen had everything needed, the pool was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything, from the quiet location, next to the river, spacious rooms, fully equipped apartments and functional kitchen. Amazing location with value for money, we will definitely come back and highly recommend it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nothing all perfect for me

Stunning setting and a beautifully renovated Quinta. The most comfortable bed we have ever slept on! We also loved the games room on a wet summer evening

The place is quiet and well equipped. Nature around the house is astonishing. Was a little bit surprised by the effort that has been put into place. Everything is clean and organised even for the country home.
