Casa do Volfrâmio

Muy recomendable para quien le guste realizar rutas de senderismo, quien quiera desconectar en un lugar tranquilo, disfrutar de pozas de agua cristalina... La casa tiene todo lo necesario y Dña. Alice es la mejor casera y vecina que uno puede tener, siempre disponible para todo lo que se necesite y sus indicaciones son muy útiles para disfrutar de todo el entorno.

Hay que tener en cuenta que la primera vez que vas por la carretera cerca de la casa impresiona un poco si no estás acostumbrado a transitar por zonas similares ya que es algo estrecha, es recomendable hacerla con buenas condiciones de visibilidad.

Alice is a very sweet lady that helps out with whatever is needed.

Some things should not happen in a booking setting. The host entered the house when we were not there to turn off the ac - this is unacceptable. We want the ac on, we can keep it on. Also, there's no excuse for them to enter the place we are renting during our stay, absolutely no excuse. Also, very dangerous road to get there. One last thing, there's only one bathroom as opposed to two as advertised.

Absolutely beautiful home. The family was very kind and welcoming. They even put in a fire for us. Lots of nearby hiking trails. Beautiful houses in the village.

Be careful about driving there after dark. The road is pretty scary.

This place is the epitome of a hidden gem, and it made a big impression on us. The village (of just 11 people during the week) is stunning. It was an accidental find for us, and we are so grateful. I can't wait to return right back to it. Elise is an absolute sweetheart, and I want to adopt her as my grandmother. She brought us fresh eggs from her hens and had her homemade port waiting for us upon arrival. Anything we needed, she provided. She treated us like family, and let us stay much longer than we were supposed to. We were able to buy wine from her, and other homemade goodies. She gave us other gifts as well. I couldn't stop hugging her. She is pure love and joy. Also, the surroundings for hiking and river dipping are amazing. You will be so happy that you booked this place.

Getting here at night was a bit tricky because our GPS told us to make a left, rather than a right at the fork in the road, and you're driving on the edge of a steep road with no cell reception. Luckily I found a bar of reception, Elise answered the phone at nearly midnight and told us to return and make the right turn. And it's true, once you get to the town's center, you'll know which house it is. Also, there's no food around, so make sure to pack what you need.
