Overlook Cottage

The bed was comfortable and cabin was clean except bar soap was left in shower. The place was very quiet at night.

No Wi-Fi even though ad says there was. They had a tv that didn’t have Wi-Fi access to so could only watch dvd movies. There was no view of the river and the cabin was in the parking lot so no privacy. We didn’t like how the toilet was up on a step and the shower was small.

The property is perfectly situated in the Tennessee mountains. If you are an avid fisher(wo)man…you will have difficulty finding a more accommodating place to stay!

Had all appliances and otherwise well stocked with utensils,etc. The decor was very cute. It was a cabin in a lovely wooded setting. Rustic but nice. People were very friendly and accommodating. They had a nice fire going outside at night.

Shower had some mold in it. Bed was a full size which was expected. Small for 2 people. Mattress was hard. Sheet was too short. Wi-Fi didn’t work and tv was just for dvds but it was a nice place to get away from that.

The scenery was beautiful. The owners made you feel like family and were very helpful. The mountain drive was new to me, so I panicked, but my mom got us up the mountain the rest of the way. The visitors were very friendly we had a bonfire and chatted it was nice. I will be back....

Being that it was my first time driving up a mountain, I was nervous quite a bit. The owners told me I had to face that fear. They talked me through how to accomplish it. It took me until time to go home to conquer that mountain, and I did it. But to be honest, I loved every moment of that ride, and the trip was simply amazing. I couldn't ask for more, and the peace and serenity were out of this world. The only thing I could say was that I didn't finish my drive up the mountain, but my mom took over. Next time, I will complete that drive... I can't wait to come back.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Black Bear Resort!! The people that are there and run the place could not be nicer!!! Black Bear Resort is in a Beautiful setting. The drive up the mountain is amazing!! We stayed in a cabin. It had anything we needed and was very clean. I would most likely go again in the future.

I can not think of anything I did not like.

There were hiking trails with beautiful waterfalls. It was peaceful. We stayed in the cottage but there are also cabins and tents.
