It was exactly like we imagined it. Great experience!!

Beautiful location & close to Joshua tree park with a car. Great for stargazing and toasting marshmallows! Perfect little stay with everything you need. Host is fantastic at responding and offers a great manual/directions for the home.

Everything was perfect just make sure to read all instructions including the one about food otherwise the ants will have a field day =p

This is a roomy studio cottage with a separate bathroom, sunny side yard with barbecue and chaise lounges, and a shaded front porch. There are interesting features on the property such as old boats and sculptures. Bunnies lurk. It is often windy in this area. The building is ultra desert utilitarian, made out of metal on the outside, with mostly small windows high up from the floor. The interior is a combination of desert shabby chic and modern touches and has a lot of stuff in it Kitchen is good and better equipped for cooking than the average rental (steak knives and good steamer for tamales for example). The property owner provides ample towels and basic bathroom supplies. From the front porch, the cottage has a long view across desert lands to the marine base. It is pretty quiet but not in a pristine area. It is generally peaceful and the front porch has a great vibe to it. You have to drive down about a mile on a unpaved sandy road, which is fine with me but might not suit everyone.

There is a larger rental property right behind this cottage that can be noisy. The property needed more maintenance attention. The screen door for the front door that provides access to the front porch is broken and not operable. The shower was spraying water up onto the ceiling. The kitchen faucet was loose and difficult to adjust to a particular temperature. The table on the front porch has been out in the weather a long time and is splintering so needs to be covered to prevent splinters. There are a LOT of rules from the property owner, so there is more of a rule vibe than a hospitality vibe.

I love the vintage look. The area is very serene, and peaceful.

Private, peaceful, comfortable bed and furniture, great kitchen, two patios, and amazing sunsets. Patricia, the property manager, was very helpful and responds within minutes.

No complaints. All good .

The bed was really comfortable. Nothing better than desert sleep 😴
