Excellent location with many really good restaurants and shops within easy walking distance, nice quiet street, everything we needed for our holiday. The accommodation was perfect for us and our host Teresa couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly

It wasn't our type of house

The house is very traditionally decorated with many Christian religious elements. which also determines the atmosphere, which makes it very heavy. Because there is a lot of antique furniture, the house also smells strongly of old things. This smell is really not pleasant. There are also a lot of mosquitoes, so if you stay here it is advisable to take a mosquito net with you. The host is nice, but she did not want to give us a refund after canceling.

House has amazing patio with barbecue and lounge chairs. Perfect for outdoor meals. It’s also in very convenient location with many facilities around - shops and restaurants. Host is super lovely and very helpful and welcoming. We were very well taken care off at any time!

Everything was lovely - however the bathrooms and general facilities were quite dated. It is an old house. Dishwasher could be nice update.

It was large and comfortable. The beds were huge and could fit at least 3 people. The host was very kind and very helpful. When we had a problem it was solved almost instantly and I hope to return.

I spent a week in Madeira at the end of April, travelled solo. I looked for accomodation close to Funchal, but out of the city, so I choosed Suites Pinto Coelho. The double comforted, traditionally furnished house located close to Cristo Rei has two bedrooms with double beds, two bathrooms and a large kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped, suitable even for cooking. The property had everything I needed, it was relaxing to chill by the pool in the nicely maintained garden. Fucnhal easely can be reached by bus, bus stop can be found close to the entrance of the house, accessible by a secret gateway. :) Food store, bars, coffee shops and restaurants are available in the close vicinity. The house runs by Teresa, a kind and helpful lady. She was like my mother during my stay, she wanted always be sure that I have everything to feel myself the best. She even provided me with coffee capsules, snacks, fruits and some water and she offered me spectacular programs. Without her assistance my stay wouldn't be as perfect as it was.

lots of character, traditional Madeiran home beautiful garden great location wonderful hosts make sure to bring cash as you will be asked to pay €2/day for 7 days stay as local taxes and I didn’t realize. overall a really lovely stay
