We had the most incredible experience staying at this villa in Madeira. The view of the ocean was simply wooow, something you could never get tired of. It truly felt like we were welcomed into someone’s home rather than just a rental property. Every little detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the villa was equipped with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay and even more! A special thank you for the lovely surprise gift basket, it was such a warm and thoughtful touch. This place exceeded all expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a magical stay in Madeira!

The Host is very hospitable. I have never met such helpful and kind person. Every day asked if we need anything. The apartment is extremely comfortable. Three bedrooms, spacious living room, two bathrooms and well equipped kitchen. Amazing views from balkony, car park and bus stop next to the apartment. There is everything what we need. I really recommend this place.

Spacious, clean, cosy and well maintained apartment. Ample facilities, kitchen, dining, balcony, bathroom and bedrooms within the apartment to meet all holiday needs for either a small family, group, or a couple. Provided with local guides, travel information and ample directories. Full range of kitchen amenities, and everything needed to make and prepare food and drink. Really spacious and gorgeous balconies on each floor, overlooking the bay. The area of Alegria is slightly outside of Funchal but only a short bus ride into the centre and the bus stop to Funchal, is right outside the apartment. It felt like a home from home and the Host Irene was very thoughtful and helpful throughout the stay, and accessible, if any needs arose. Great overall price and value for money for a full apartment and all the ammenties and welcome drink etc. provided. Funchal centre is quite a busy and bustling place and this area just outside felt much more peaceful and serene, to help me fully relax after a day out sight seeing. Had a great holiday and would definitely recommend to others/ stay here again.

Nice location with great view of Funchal and the ocean. I really enjoyed the early morning ocean views from one of the 3 terraces! Can just recommend the place. Appartment is large with 3 full bedrooms, it was comfortable for 6 people. Also the large lobby is very convenient for some stuff which you do not need inside. Great communication with the owner via Whatsapp, thank you. Public transport to the Funchal centre takes 20 minutes and the last stop of bus no. 42 is just under the appartment.

The bus is just under the windows so you can hear it in the morning. Not my case, but someone who wants to sleep longer may be little bit disturbed.

Superb location. Excellent value for money. Sleeps 6 easily - and possibly more on fold-down sofas? Netflix was a bonus - as was being right at the terminus for the 42 bus. Off street parking. Nice gift pack of local produce and a bottle of vino! Friendly attentive host who speaks excellent English.

Mattress was a bit on the hard side. Shower went to scalding hot if someone else in the house ran a tap or flushed a toilet.

We enjoyed our stay in this house very much. The accommodation is spacious, quiet, and adequately equipped (including a washing machine and a dryer). The weekly bus pass (22 euros) is worth it if you plan to stay on the island without renting a car like us. The bus stop is right next to the house, it takes about 20 min to get to the center. The ride itself is a real treat. The house is located high above the town, so it is cooler there, which can be a problem for some in winter, as there is no standard heating in the house - only 2 direct heaters. On the other hand, in summer this is certainly desirable. Communication with the owner was above standard from the start, she responds without delay and tries to make your stay as good as possible. This house is really worth it. We would be happy to return if we visit Madeira again.

Everything, super comfortable place to stay, you have everything what is needed including sunny balcony with ocean view.. The bus station is available just next to the building which can be helpful if you don't feel comfortable enough to drive a car on the steep roads :)
