The view from the balcony was excellent

A lovely little house on a steep hill with two gorgeous pristine double bedrooms each with their own shower room and toilet. Quality toiletries provided and port and biscuits to welcome us. A delicious breakfast arrived each morning in a picnic basket on the table on the outside patio. The host Paula was brilliant in providing information about the property and restaurants and ordering taxis when needed. Fatima who provided the food fed us well and was very kind.

It’s a very steep hill up from the town although we did walk down twice and walk up once. We got taxis three times on arrival and departures with heavy bags and once after a meal in the evening. The taxi drivers found it difficult to find the house but Paula helped with translation and directions

Very comfortable and well equipped apartment. The host (Fatima) was delightful, brought us a huge breakfast basket every morning with fresh fruit from their trees.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely place. Fatima was amazing with her hospitality and prepared a nice breakfast every morning.

Casa dos Avós is such beautiful vacation home. Fatima and Paula are amazing and happy hosts, they are both so very attentive and kind. We truly enjoyed our stay here, the welcoming goodies, plus the delicious and splendid breakfast delivered in a cute picnic basket : delicious baked goods, yogurt, cheese, bread, ham , water, coffee, milk, juice made the stay even more special. The property has a beautiful large balcony where we enjoyed our time together. The kitchen has everything one may need. Apartment is beautifully decorated and very clean. A great two bedroom/ two bath home that perfectly met our needs. Peso de Regua is a beautiful town, we will be back! Totally recommend Casa dos Avós, we would be happy to return to this gem. We used taxis and walked to get to the property and town below since property is higher up, but the comfort and view made it all worth the higher ground. The location of Casa dos Avos is perfect, in a cute village just outside Regua. The apartment itself is an example for a great renovation - there is a feel of the old house - very thick stonewalls and amazing veranda, yet everything else is brand new. The attention to detail is remarkable - everything is provided including a mini size Sensodyne toothpaste. Breakfast was abundant and was delivered in a picnic basket.

I liked everything.

A lovely space, both bedrooms en suite, a large terrace with facilities for dining as well as seats for relaxing and enjoying the view. Well equipped small kitchen and a good dining cum sitting room. Fatima provided a suburb breakfast everyday delivered to our terrace and really couldn’t do enough for us, a real asset, after three days we almost felt like family. The property is about a 15 minute downhill stroll to the river, some may find that a struggle on the way up but a taxi for the return is only about 5€.

Wow, what a fantastic find! This place went beyond expectations. Everything was sparkling clean, and the apartment had absolutely everything you need - a well equipped kitchen, washing machine, two bedrooms each with air con, tv and lovely bathrooms, a lounge and a fantastic big veranda to hang out on. What really made this place special though were the hosts - Paula spoke wonderful English and was there to meet us on check in, she organised everything we needed. And Fátima prepared the most divine breakfasts for us each morning, delivering it in a picnic basket on the veranda. Beautiful home baked goodies, yoghurts, fruits, fresh bread rolls, cheese, meats, juice and milk. It was lovely, we would definitely stay here again!

The apartment has a stunning and very convenient layout - we were two couples and very nice that both couples had their own bathroom. Also, Fatima (our host) was absolutely lovely! So helpful, kind, and willing to help. She spoiled us with lovely breakfast every morning.
