Casinha da Deolinda

Local perfeito de paz e sossego. As camas continuam a ser as mais comfortáveis que alguma vez dormi; especialmente depois de um dia inteiro a caminhar. A Sra. Deolinda mantém a mesma simpatia e hospitalidade. Ainda bem que voltámos um ano depois!

Deolinda is a wonderful and welcoming host who made sure we felt at home from the moment we arrived. She greeted us warmly, gave us a tour of the house, and even had the wood stove running in advance—a thoughtful gesture, especially since temperatures were close to zero at night despite it being mid-March. The house itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated with charming details like fresh flowers on the towels. We also appreciated the bowl of sweets and fruits she had prepared, which added a lovely touch to our stay. The rooms were cozy, tastefully decorated, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated Deolinda's hospitality and attention to detail. We would happily return!

Due to the cold weather, we did have to keep refueling the stove until late at night (although it's also true that we arrived quite late, around 8 pm), as it took some time for the house to warm up. However, in most cases, this likely wouldn’t be an issue.

Quiet and peaceful location. Friendly host. Scenic views and near many nice little villages like Piodão. Clean. Some fruits included for breakfast.

We did not know that we had to build a fire in the fireplace to heat the home. It's just different from what we're used to and the heat is mostly in the living room and a bit colder in the bedrooms. The house is definitely old which includes all of the furniture. Still a great value considering the affordable price and space, just something to keep in mind.
