Great authentic accomodation amongst probably the best presented medieval village and castle remnants. Easy checkin via the Bar Campanario immediately behind the apartment.

Area and atmosphere was really cool. Comfortable with all the amenities. Rustic charm. Offered breakfast with good bread, but the deli meat and cheese slice just in a container was a little different.

Needed more instructions for checking in and out.

Awesome location inside the walled city, helpful hosts - met us on arrival to show us the house. Has cool loft areas in each bedroom - the kids loved these.

there is no food available in Sortelha historic centre, and only one cafe available down in Sortelha with very limited meal choice. I wasn’t fully aware of this before going or I would have come prepared. The booking was sold as including breakfast, which was not adequate as it consisted of orange juice, milk, bread and cheese which is not good especially given the lack of available food stated above. On arrival, I was unable to phone contact the owners, and it was only with the charitable help of a non-English speaking neighbour and a translator app that the owner was contacted, and eventually appeared from his remote location. He was pleasant and as helpful as he could be without English, but it was only 6pm in the evening when the English speaking member was available to give the bad news on food.
