Great place within a minute away from the beach. In front is a very nice restaurant providing grilled fished. I would book it again.

Amazing location. Amazing views. Great to hear the waves each night. Very large and comfortable. The hot tub was a bonus! The hosts were available to help out, provide suggestions and gave us a nice welcome treat when we arrived (Madeira wine, chocolates, cookies, and fresh flowers)

No negatives at all as we had a great stay. Property could do with a few more bowls but this didn’t detract from our wonderful overall stay.

Amazing place with everything one need. We visited many places on the island and this is certainly the best spot. Regeneration for body and soul with vertical ridge behind and ocean in front, situated in quiet romantic by-the-sea town. If you are willing to explore west of Madeira, choose this place.

If you don't like to feel at home and in a fairy tale at the same time, don't go

* Paul do Mar is a gorgeous, quiet village with friendly people and good food * the house has great localization very close (you can watch beautiful sirrounding from balony) to the ocean, nice restaurants and bars, banana plantation and cliffs * the house is very well equipped (kitchenware, washing machine, TV) * rooms are big and clean * owner put out a small swimming pool for us and left us a bottle of Madeira wine We enjoyed our stay very much, Paul do Mar is an underrated place in Madeira.

* there were some small ants in the kitchen (you have to keep all food and drinks locked in the fridge) * owner has 2 dogs which spend time on the terrace (you share with the owner veeery big terrace, so there is plenty of room for every body) - they were friendly, but if you are scared of dogs it can be a problem

property was lovely, clean with plenty of room and a swimming pool had been set up which was lovely to cool off in. we arrived slightly later than planned and had missed the local supermarket so the milk, biscuits, fresh bananas, were very needed and welcoming. there was also a bottle of Madeira wine which we sampled another night. Owners were welcoming and helpful but also left you to your own devices.

only minor thing that we didn’t like was that the beds were a bit hard for our likely but that is likely just our preference.

Nice, cosy place.

The view to the sea is obscured by other buildings in the front of the house - but fur us this was not a problem since anyway we spent the while day outside.
