"Beautiful vacation home and setting. Loud construction noise ruined it"

The overall house and the first day of stay.

this stay was only relaxing the day of and not the next day. Construction noises started right next door a little before 8am and never stopped. Diesel trucks, power tools, dropping things from high heights. We actually woke up thinking people were in the house until realizing it was next door construction. I understand you can’t control what happens around the environment but maybe next time inform the future renters what to expect and the choice would have been in their hands whether to continue to book or not. If I had known, I would have chosen a different date myself. Half of my stay great, other half poor.
