Ravenscliff Self Catering

Leon and Petro met us with a warm welcome and show around the house. It is a beautiful old house in immaculate state with a good mix of traditional and some modern but fitting decoration. The beds are comfy, and have baths only (no showers) though Leon tell s me they will be adding showers in the next months. Large living-dining room with cards abd chess for entertainment, a fully fitted kitchen wigh gas hob and there are rechargable batteries to use during loadshedding if needed. The selfcatering house is right next door to their guest house and has a shared pool and bbq area. The house is in a quiet area but It is very central, only 3 mins drive to town. The Cango caves are an easy 30 mins drive away. Our son has coeliac disease and Leon was kind enough to phone a local restaurant who were willing to make the necessary dietary arrangements for us to be able to eat there. It made out trip even better. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend including Ravenscliff to your itinerary!! We wil definitely go back if we are ever in the Oudtshoorn area again!!

The most beautiful 19th century farm house with high ceilings and hard wood floors ❤ I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Very friendly and welcoming hosts! Safe, secure 2 bedroom apartment and parking in Oudtshoorn, close to grocery stores and restaurants. Attractions were a short drive away. Size of apartment great for 4 adults. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was a plus! Strong wifi even during loadshedding. Kitchen had all the necessary utensils to prepare meals.

House was a bit darker than in the pictures. Amount of loadshedding during our stay made it very warm without aircon, but this was out of our hosts' control.

The unit is newly renovated, clean and stylishly furnished with antique furniture. My toddler loved playing in the big garden.

Nice place to stay in Oudshoorn with many atractions arround. Overall good opinion.

Could be a bit cleaner aunder the beds and wardrobes (dust). In my humble opinion the placelooks nicer on a pictures pictures than in reality (especially inside).

Meeting the amazing Petro and Leon, helpful, kind and hospitable souls. I too liked that we had our privacy, own braai area, own garden, own front and back entrances but were most fortunate to meet other lovely tenants. A big happy family from all around the world. There were tiny thoughtfulness ie. Salt and pepper shakers, I forgot to pack in.

There was not much not to like but I would suggest aircons for the houses, as the weather in Oudtshoorn can be quite hot. Yet there is relief, the sparkling pool to cool down.
