The cabin was very clean,and well stocked. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. The location was semi secluded and very quiet.

The cabin was very clean. Everything was in order and in fantastic condition. The farm tour was fun and educational. The location was perfect and relaxing. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal. The beds are comfortable. The washer and dryer were awesome. very nice place to stay. The cabin is beautiful.

L. C. Ratchford’s buffalo farm is a glimpse into another world, another way of life and perspective. We actually only booked because we needed a cabin for a dark sky event in that area. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that Mr. Ratchford gives complimentary tours of his ranch and allows you to interact with the animals. You can take your photograph with an emu, feed a spoiled cow, tease a young water buffalo, and observe the myriad of personalities and emotions that goats display. The culmination, of course, is getting to see a live, massive buffalo. These creatures are overwhelmingly majestic when you’re right in front of them. L. C. will also take you around the ranch and the bottoms below and reveal the fascinating history of his family and himself, how he came to start buffalo farming. There is a mystique to the Ozarks that one has to experience first-hand. Spending time with L. C. was profoundly satisfying and holistic as he is not only a fascinating individual but tremendously a genuinely kind and thoughtful soul. Glimpsing his laid back lifestyle (not physically of course) and his perspective on life is very educational. And, hopefully, visitors get to carry that gem with them hence onward. I suppose that I was so indelibly impressed by our experience with L. C. that I failed to mention the cabin. They are a project of love, as he describes them. They were wrought from cedar and his ambition and creativity. They are gorgeous and a must see. The rustic style was exactly what we were looking for. This is one AirBnB that you will take some away from.



Everything.....owner is a great person with a rock solid heart! Property is truly God's gift...so blessed to have found this place. Special, long lifetime memories were made. A definite must come back again ! Thank God for L.C. Ratchford....thank you! Lisa Kraft
