"Warm stay in a freezing town"

It had the best shower ever with boiling hot water. We also had the warmest beds

The fireplace smoked a little into the house.

"would have been fine if there had been some source of heating"

no breakfast supplied. very convenient position

it was freezing cold as we expected but no heating was supplied. an ancient stove was supposed to supply heat but it was tiny and set far back in a nook so no heat came into the room. i suggested they supply a small hear ter instead. the girl who opened up seemed to think it was a good idea
