We went for a birthday celebration and looking at the photos of the property we thought it would be perfect. Sad to say on arrival we found a nice property that has a lot of potential. But unfortunately the place was dirty, the windows hadn’t seen water for ages and the fat of the previous guests braai was still on the braai and on the floor. Never cleaned. Needless to say, we arrived late Friday afternoon and none of us felt like cleaning a lodge. The linen on the beds were not inviting.. really shabby and worn out. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathrooms are nice but not cleaned properly. The fungus was in the corners of the shower. We were very disappointed, the tennis table was so full of dust and this was actually the reason we took this apartment cause it had so much to offer.. pool and darts…we however had to clean everything before we could use it. The place is also not suitable for 8 adults as my son and his wife had to sleep on two very uncomfortable pine bunk beds. Outside no maintenance is done. The sewage is also running out from broken pipes.Sorry but it was not as nice as we thought it would be when we saw it on your site.

The location and value for the lodging couldn't be beat. The layout was pretty good and the beds were comfortable enough. The kitchen had plenty of plates, bowls and cups. There was enough area in the home and outside for relaxing. Good washing machine and use of clothesline.

The pots need to be updated and some of the kitchen utensils for cooking could be replaced. We didn't like the fact that there was another person who was on the property. He didn't disturb us at all but we would have preferred if we were the only ones who were there. There should be more candles and lanterns, maybe one for each room, during load shedding times. I would also recommend cleaning up the games-looked like half of them were dropped and put back that way, and pool sticks-only one could be used, plus there were only two darts. We only used these items for one day as the rest of the time was spent at Kruger National Park and we picked this home due to its proximity to the park so this was not a big issue for us BUT if one was to spend more than 1-2 days here for relaxation purposes then it would be an annoyance.
