The WildCard

The property has a great location with easy access to the beach and the the owner of the property is courteous and hands-on with managing the stay of his guests at the Wildcard. Our recommendations to inform guests of the loadshedding times, so that they can manage expectations, were well received for consideration by the owner.

The weather🥶

Great location, great view. Love Brittania Bay.

A few things not present - easily remedied I think: No broom, bucket or dust pan. Another frying pan ( only 1 frying pan for a family of 4 for a week stay was too few). Toilet lid broken ( We fixed it). Need backup power for the WiFi router ( cheap , easy).

No fireplace were very cold

I really like the location, the dishwasher, the ensuite bathroom in the main bedroom and the outside braai area

The beds was not comfortable and they have no loadshedding equipment. It was cold at night all though the electric blanket was used. The bedding quality can be improved.

No breakfast was included. It was only self catering.

The lighting in lounge / dining room was poor, some of the globes were not working /fused and need replacement. It ain't normal globes. They are a special type and probably nit readily available.

The setting was excellent with a beautiful view over the ocean...waking up with the sound of waves and just the tranquility. The interior of the house and the lovely paintings were beautiful. The house itself was spacious and furnished with most necessary equipment and facilities needed for a long family/group stay.

Although there's an outdoor fireplace it would be recommended to have a few heaters during winter rainy days, as it can get very cold at night. Some rechargeable lights during loadshedding would be beneficial as well.

Gorgeous place and worked perfectly for our mid week getaway. Was close to the ocean for those beautiful sunrises.

The quiet area and beach view,Also the beds were extremely comfortable.

Being in the dark during loadshedding,there should be rechargeable lights or something on the property.
