Oakdene Cottage

The cottage felt like a home away from home, it's a perfect hideaway not too far from home. Its less than half a kilometre from a very busy road but once you get inside the yard, its a very calm and relaxing environment. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, and we will definitely go back. Special thank you to the owner who checked on us to see if we were warm enough due to the sudden cold weather experienced in Gauteng during our stay.

Maybe an additional dish cloth for the kitchen as we only had one, unless if we missed it somehow.

We really enjoyed our stay, everything was better than we expected. Jenny was truly the best host. We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Jenny met us upon arrival and showed us our cottage. The cottage was very located and had all the facilities and back up items for load shedding which was great. The cottage was located in a lovely large plot in a semi rural setting on a river.

The main complaint we had was the proximity of the pressure pump to the cottage and we heard it running at night and in the early hours of the morning.

Great spot to get away for a city break it feels like you're far away from the hustle and bustle. Yet within minutes there are tons of shops, restaurants etc. The cottage is lovely and really set up so well. It is very tidy and clean, and the staff are always willing to help and make you're stay comfortable.

Very little not to like
