The location is excellent and the house is HUGE, truly wonderful

I think the surrounding town seems to have a bit of a litter issue but otherwise everything was good.

The property is beautiful and has so much potential. The house is thoughtfully designed and very spacious. The beds are also very comfortable. The property is located in a great area too, very central. The price that we paid for the accommodation was extremely reasonable!

This home needs better upkeep. When we arrived, all the dishes were dirty and had to be cleaned first before we used them. There was a thick layer of dirt on top of the fridge and a spider web in the top right corner of the shower in the main bedroom. There also wasn’t any hand soap provided in the bathrooms, which felt like a basic necessity to overlook. There was also an open, half box of milk in the fridge. I’m not sure if that was intentional or if the cleaner didn’t empty the fridge out properly before we arrived. Small things like having small boxed of milk for guests, salt pepper and oil at the guests disposal was overlooked. Things that one is used to finding in AirBnBs, and that make staying in outer people’s home easy and convenient were missing in this home. We came back late from supper at the Drostdy one our last night, and wanted to shower, but the geyser was off and the owner was unreachable to let us know how to switch the geyser on manually. It would have been great if that information was given freely instead. This was a lovely home, but more attention to cleanliness and a bit of thought and care added to the home would make this a fantastic stay. Suggestions: - check that the dishes in the cupboards are clean - dust down the shelves in the kitchen and bedroom cupboards - provide sealed milk in fridge - hand soap in bathrooms - airfryer and dishwasher

Well located property with enough space for a group of friends.

On the day of arrival when we drove into the driveway, a bakkie also followed who was busy loading furniture of the person staying on the property. We were not informed that someone else also stays on the property. As we wanted to leave for the shops, the gardener also came through the gate asking for the house keys because he wanted to cut grass at 4pm - this should be arranged or communicated. The general cleanliness, equipment and amenities of the house requires some attention as well as the braai facilities that were not cleaned prior to our arrival. Could be a great place if some of these issues are addressed.
