Shutters on Hilltop, Scarborough

Julia, who met us with the keys, explained us all and every single detail about the house and it's facilities, and she was available during all the time we were in Scarborough. The house itself was very clean, well kept and packed with all what is nesessary to stay in, including power backup equipment. Nice garden.

The wheather - it was very windy, but actually nothing unexpected for this time of the year.

Fantastic welcome by Julia The house is very nice all you need is there the view is stunning, we enjoyed the pool and the deck is perfect for a sundowner We will definitely come back here and I can only highly recommend There is plenty to do and see. The garden is absolutely stunning

There is absolutely nothing we didn't like

We loved its outlook, the care taken to make you feel at home. The properties location was perfect for us, close to the ocean, national park with lovely walks in the hills behind the house. The view including of the sunsets were a splendid way to end our days there. We definitely love to come back, and highly recommend it to friends and family planning to visit Cape Town.

Amazing view, a big house with space enough and Julia was very kind and helpfull

the house is just beautiful! the garden, pool, balcony just lovely! the kitchen has everything you need. the bedrooms are nice and chilly even when it’s hot outside. we enjoyed our stay very much and Julia is always there if you need her, gives great recommendations and manages everything with love!

the alarm is very sensitive so we had a few alarms. luckily nothing happened and security was around very quick.

The view from the balcony was beautiful, with the nature reserve on the left and the beach in front,you feel so at peace and a million miles away from the day to day hustle of life. The night sky is also spectacular.

We were a bit taken aback by the request for a R2500 breakage deposit that we were requested to bring in cash. This is not something we have ever had to do on booking.com. it’s also a lot of money to have to draw especially when we just paid R4600 for the Accomodation. Also having that amount of cash on us is not something I think most people feel comfortable with in SA where hijacking’s are rife. I would suggest shutters tries to take a breakage deposit from the given credit card or even reduce the amount to something more manageable. other than that the place was perfect and we will be back.
