Our weekend stay at Far Away Place on the Midlands Meander was absolutely wonderful. The tranquil , surrounded by rolling hills and misty mornings, made it the perfect escape from city life. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and their friendly dogs added an extra touch of charm to the experience. It’s a hidden gem that I’d gladly return to for more peace, nature, and relaxation.

The view was stunning. Beds v comfy, great shower too. Kitchen well kitted out but not clean. Service was impeccable.

The stairs are a hazard and difficult to use, especially getting luggage upstairs is not easy. Couch uncomfortable. We would have placed the braai elsewhere.

Perfect location - complete peace and quiet. No other people around - just what we wanted.

The shower uses a gas heater, and like all gas shower heaters ever in existence, no matter how hard you try you either freeze or get 3rd degree burns.
