Sea you on Sands

We travelled to the George and Wilderness area from Australia to visit family and friends, we also had to work and keep in touch with our business in Australia and the internet was fast and reliable. We looked for a property that we can be comfortable and safe as well as big enough for family and friends to visit and stay over. Sea you on Sands was perfect for this, the house was clean and very comfortable with enough space for everybody. The house was clean, and the furniture and fittings were the best we have had. A special message of thanks for our host, Kelvin who helped us with everything we needed. The location was very central to enjoy the local beach and restaurants and we felt safe with the house alarm system and security. It was also very near to George to pick up supplies and shopping. We enjoyed it and we recommend it for other families.

Nice spacious house with 4 bedrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary amenities.

From the picture, one would think you have a sea view, this is not the case as the house is on the opposite side of the road facing the train tracks. Property claims a private beach, this is not accurate. It would be nice to have outside seating by the boma? The jacuzzi took more than 4 hours to warm, wasn't informed about this and had no option to warm it before our stay. Also a camera facing the jacuzzi area which feels like an invasion of privacy.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed and more.!! Will definitely visit again.

Everything except the wifi connection during loadshedding. Need to change service provider to one that he coverage during loadshedding.

Indoor braai was smoking into the house. Think the house need a better extraction mechanism or longer chimney.

The property was SPOTLESSLY clean and was the best appointed/equipped property we have ever stayed in, both locally and abroad. Everything from an Ice Maker to the Airfryer! The property is spacious, and the layout, with the family room away from the sleeping quarters, made it pleasant for us as a multi-generational group. Access to the Beach and services such as shopping & restaurants were all within easy walking distance. The quality of the Security System was very comforting. It is the "extras" that set a property aside and the provision of beach chairs and an umbrella is an example. Travelling by car these would not be practical to bring from home. If there can be a "Star" category awarded for the best house keeper then Lyl Nankhuni would win this hands down! Lyl was efficient and UNOBTRUSIVE, but always there when needed maintaining the standards set from the start, including having a small screwdriver to allow a 6 year old to get batteries into his Xmas present and fielding the 100's of questions small children have with a smile! The minor extra cost of having Lyl's services available during the stay was wonderful and excellent value. We will be staying here again I am sure.

The Battery Backup system is inadequate and whoever wired this up did not think having a plug connected to the FRIDGE was not useful. All the lighting was available and a few plugs operate but with the multiple instances of load shedding, in quite a short time frame, it made the recharge of the batteries difficult. Allied to this was the Wi-Fi which is not available during load shedding at all. When you have small children this is NOT ideal and must be resolved with a suitable ISP (MTN appear not to have back up power?) The way the Wilderness town is laid out the noise from the N2, which cuts right through the town, is sometimes noticeable but an acceptable trade off for the great location to everything else.
