Bit off the beaten track but worth the drive

Location is great, if you want to be far from the hustle & bustle of the city and are looking to be surrounded by nature, this is you go-to.

The few kms of dust road getting to the lodge weren't so good after the rains but our 4 by 4 vehicle handled it quite well.

Everything the view,accommodatiin. I will back over and over agsin def 10 out of 10

Lovely old house surrounded by peaceful natural scenery, and opulent bird life.

From the main road to the property takes about twenty minutes by dirt road, ideally driven by SUV. ESKOM imposes two hours' load shedding twice a day, every second day, which was disclosed only once we had settled in. The cleaning staff did the absolute minimum, sometimes didn't even make the beds, never swept the floors and never cleaned the bathrooms or toilets..The drain pipes of the showers and basins are in need of unclogging because they drain so slowly that you shower ankle-deep in your own and other people's sudds run-off. The house sleeps six guests but has wine glasses enough for only two. The gas regulator attached to the gas bottle feeding the barbecue grill was faulty and had to be replaced after the second day when it started leaking. And finally, the double-door fridge-freezer in the kitchen needs repair because it is in danger of toppling forward.
