USI didn't know Kleinmond had such wonderful places to stay! This is a fabulous accommodation right on the water, adjacent to the entrance of the indented cove of Kleinmond's small harbor and boat launch. The dramatic view of waves crashing on the reef rocks immediately offshore is matched by the convenience of a three-minute path to the shops, restaurants, and pubs of Harbor Road. Located at the corner of Marine Drive and John Daneel St, it is quiet, private, spacious, well-appointed accommodation enjoying the scenic backdrop of the Kogelberg Nature Reserve. A giant SuperSpar is but five minutes away. Be sure to begin and/or end your journey to Cape Town by enjoying the world-class R44 Clarence Drive scenic coastal road, maybe having lunch or a brewski at The Thirsty Oyster in Gordon's Bay en route.
We arrived in a strong wind and rain storm, the vibrations from which apparently set off the emergency alarm on several random occasions our first night, bringing prompt responses from the private security personnel. Fortunately, the weather cleared up, and this was no longer an issue.

There was no way of heating the place it's winter and the temperature drops significantly at night in this part of the world unless you lit the fire which there was no fuel available I would think the opposite in summer whereas it would be hot and humid with no air conditioning installed it would be very uncomfortable a bit expensive as well for an overnight stay for 2 pensioners The bed also could of done with an electric blanket as the bedding was very cold and felt damp

We werent told how to get in and owner didnt answer phone or call back. Luckily some people were staying at the main house and showed us the key box which needs a code. Minor but essential information.
