Spacious in the middle of everything I wanted to do

It really need maintenance Esp moult treatment on tiles ( mold is not good for health in the bathroom Some furniture were torn

I enjoyed the ocean view that was amazing and the house was spacious that it accommodated all my guest.

There was allot of things that I didn’t like, we were restricted. We couldn’t do allot of things and I wish that was told in the description before. Had I have known I would have never booked this place. The rules are so strict you can’t do this you can’t do that.

The host accepted this stay within 4 hours of check in time where check in was also delayed to after 3:30pm and it was not suitable for impromptu bookings as it says that bookings will not be accepted in less than 48 hours due to the “strict process and access control”. Host refused to cancel booking after accepting with such short notice, knowing we will have access issues. We had no option but to stay here because we would lose a substantial amount of money due to the host accepting a booking against their standard policy. Host was not forthcoming with assistance in this regard. We struggled with access, this is a 12 sleeper and only had access for 2 vehicles - friends were stranded Saturday morning in the estate and delayed for work. Access was an issue until Saturday evening, there was more admin during this weekend away than an actual weekend away stress free. I had to constantly worry about leaving the property and entering again from the time we got there on Friday. Also, monkeys were an issue and messed up the bins quite badly. Even though Dominique tried to assist with access and entry/exit codes it was still constant admin and explanations of why codes were needed. The host should stick to their standard procedure and not be accepting bookings with less than 48 hour notice as they state as this makes it an unpleasant stay with admin and also very difficult for people to cancel without losing money especially if they know the access issues. Thanks to Dominique for trying to make it a better experience but ultimately those issues did kill the spirit. The beautiful place and views were killed by the experience mentioned.

We like the views of the golf course and the beach and how spacious the house was. Plenty of space for the kids to have their own time downstairs.

The TV downstairs didn't have DSTV. Not that you can control it, but the monkeys made our time outside on the balcony limited. They also disturbed us in the morning on Saturday, trying to get into the house and cottage and made a mess on our cars.

The property was big enough to accommodate my family of 11. The caretaker, Hlengiwe, was very helpful.

Zimbali Estate rules are very strict, so getting around the estate is difficult. You need the access cards for boom gates all over the estate. Fines are also steep if you do not comply.

The room views were exceptional
