Couldn't fault the place

The place is fantastic and is a hidden gem with the best view and access to a semi-private beach.

Our unit was not serviced by house keeping over the 3 days we were there. This was the only dissapointing thing.

Excellent location, view, cleanliness, quality. Next door to a popular restaurant but any noises are drowned out by the sound of the waves. Well equipped and very comfortable. Beautiful view of the bay (Formosa)

Exceptional location and amazing views. Whales come to visit each morning and the deck was fabulous! My children loved the easy access to the beach and we enjoyed lovely beach walks. It was a lovely touch to find dishwashing tablets, washing up liquid, bin bags and fresh cloths. The cleaning staff changed our towels and bath mats on day 2. Comfy pillows and warm bedding. The welcome card was a lovely touch. Furniture is all well maintained and in good condition.

The building was invasive, despite being told it wouldn’t impact our stay. There was drilling and angle sawing going on until 5pm on Wednesday. Men were on the roof next door which overlooked the patio. We also couldn’t park in our designated car parking when we returned from a day trip as it was all taped off. We were made to park elsewhere by the building manager. We had to walk over wet concrete and we found 2 men down the side of the house using the tap on the alley side. We didn’t feel comfortable with all the building men on site. The patio lights were also not working so we couldn’t dine outside at night.

1. navigation to the house is bad. But the problem is solvable. 2. the owners or managers of the place are not flexible, they will not fulfill your requests, or rather they will not even try to fulfill them. 3. 5 meters from the house there is construction of 3 or 4 new houses, noise from 8 am to 5 pm.

This is not the first time that we have stayed at Picnic Rock and will not be the last. We just love to stay there. The apartment is very clean and neat and the views are spectacular. There is definitely no better place to stay in Keurboomstrand other than a Picnic Rock. Quality bedding and towels. Perfect place for a romantic getaway.

Great view. Facilities clean and neat. Bring your own beach towels, but other than that, they have everything you need and the owners are available at all times for any queries.

There is a large scale construction project going on around the house to multiple units and the builders are quite loud. Try and book on a weekend because it looks like they work straight through the week until 2pm on Saturdays. The owners do make you aware of this when you have made your booking.
