Jolie maison refaite à neuf et décorée avec goût. accueil chaleureux et informatif. emplacement calme dans cette tranquille petite ville. la maison était un peu chaude à notre arrivée, la fraîcheur du soir a été la bienvenue. La climatisation serait un plus certain.

Lovely spacious old-style cottage. Comfortable bed, well appointed kitchen area, very nice bathroom. Access to private backyard area. Safe off-street parking and a lovely mountain view from the front yard. The host was brilliant! Friendly, approachable and helpful. She made us feel right at home from the offset and shared her local knowledge which helped us a lot during our stay. We will definitely stay at Krom Cottage again next time we're in Montague.

There was nothing not to like. It really is just a lovely place to stay.

The place was spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed—and more. The location was perfect, within walking distance of town and close to the mountain for hiking. We also enjoyed the braai area at the back and the seating in front with secure parking.

Not really anything. The only small thing is that the bathroom door doesn’t close fully, so the place feels more suitable for a couple.

I also really appreciated the local town maps and information left for guests. It made exploring the area so much easier and gave the stay a personal touch that’s often missing from other accommodations. Overall, a peaceful and pleasant retreat with all the little details taken care of. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to unwind.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this little coy cottage in Montagu, and it was everything we could have asked for and more. The moment I picked up my wife at the airport coming from Abu dhabi, to the moment we arrived she said it felt like home warm, cosy, and intimate. It’s the perfect hideaway for a couple looking to unwind, or anyone needing a quiet, comfortable escape. Affordable, yet filled with charm and comfort every little detail of the cottage was thoughtfully done. Montagu itself is a treasure. The town feels like a blend between a quaint French village and a Swiss mountain town, surrounded by stunning scenery that comes alive especially in the colder months. There’s a romantic, peaceful atmosphere throughout, with friendly locals, unique little shops, and the kind of slow, serene pace that makes you want to stay forever. We left feeling rested, inspired, and already dreaming about when we can return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something truly special.

While the stay was overall beautiful, there were a few small things that could be improved. The cottage could benefit from better insulation or heating for those chilly winter nights, it got quite cold at times, even with the blankets. A fireplace would make a big difference and a canopy/awning on the outside for rainy days when braaing
