Seascape Cottage

The cottage has a beautiful sea view along the peninsula. We love the bed, which is very comfy. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the rest of the cottage is well-furnished. Annie, the host, is very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay there. Highly recommended!

The beds were really comfortable everything we needed the cottage had even beach towels..

We loved everything about it. The view. The fact that the beach was in walking distance from where we stayed. That there was always traffic cops patrolling made us feel safe. The house is stunning and has everything and so much more.

A lovely cottage one road up from the beach. We absolutely loved our stay and it was everything and more than we expected. Very clean, spacious, lovely views and a really nice feel to the cottage. I enjoyed the walks from the cottage along the path to boulders beach where the penguins live, stopping to look at some lovely little beaches with the huge granite rocks. The view from the cottage was great, overlooking the sea where we could see the kayakers and small boats every day. Close to town and it’s lovely harbour. Well equipped with a washer which I made best use of to catch up on my holiday washing and a large dishwasher took care of the washing up after our braii.

The step from the patio windows is sloped and my friend fell as she didn’t notice especially as there was so much load shedding(power outages) also the steps down to the property could do with better lighting and reflective strips on them to show the edge of the steps.

All amenities needed for a family were available. It was our first time staying in a cottage and with three children, we appreciated t he oven, washing machine and dishwasher. The view is beautiful and Annie was friendly and helpful. We stayed for 7nights.

The shower in the main bath is on the small side but not bad. Bathroom tap needs replacing.

Great location overlooking the bay. Very short walk just down the hill to the penguin colony. Beautiful garden with many flowers attracting sunbirds (August visit). Extra blankets provided for the cool evenings. Good security. Nice spacious property with good layout. Clean and tidy. Nearby convenience store was fine for essentials. Short drive to centre of town, cafes, restaurants. Good base to visit the Cape.

Just a few snags: The kitchen mixer tap seal was leaking -which we fixed by repositioning the seal. The master bedroom door carpet retainer was bent/lifted and needs replacing as it caught the door as it was closed. The patio door lower drop-bolt screws were loose. Otherwise all good.
