Lake House

The Lake House is an idyllic spot right on the lake, with the bonus of otters swimming past which feels pretty special. Deer and blesbok also roam freely around the property, adding to the sense of being immersed in nature. It is close enough to town to be convenient, yet wonderfully secluded and peaceful. Beautiful hiking trails are nearby, making it a perfect base for nature lovers. A truly relaxing and memorable stay.

The mattresses were not quite to our personal preference, but this is very subjective.

We visited the Lakehouse for a group getaway and were honestly blown away. The photos really don’t do it justice! The location is absolutely beautiful and peaceful — the perfect weekend escape. The house was neat, well-kept, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable self-catering stay. The views of the lake were breathtaking. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. One thing we really appreciated is that, while it feels secluded and tranquil, it’s still very close to the Dullstroom town making it easy to pop out for anything we needed.

Nothing, we booked for a weekend and wished we booked longer.

Excellent nature location with a private trout farm for yourself, close to town. Old converted farmhouse with modern kitchen and amenities.

Some Minor items which required a bit of TLC and maintenance.

Location and luxurious kitchen. Having the entire dam for ourselves. The sounds of nature specially the trees. I felt at home

The light in our room never switched off. We had to disconnect it.

a lot of thought has gone into the amenities everything we needed was there...the view onto the lake was outstanding

the scissors were blunt and one plate on the stove was not working but this was an absolute minor probably no one has informed the owner

Every comfort and detail had been thought of in the house to make it so comfortable and enjoyable to stay there. The setting is spectacular on the dams.
