Was close to restaurants, self check in worked well

The security light at the next door property kept me awake at night

Really comfortable bed, lots of sunlight in the room, self-contained with everything you need.. It was a 1-2 minute walk from a strip of nice restaurants and bars. Walking distance from the historic places of interest.

The host was very good, although we didn't meet her in person, because we arrived very late. She was very good with us on the phone. The apartment is well looked after and is very clean.

The area is not the best, but we never had any challenges.

Subject: Warning About Host & Property – Unfair Cancellation & Scamming Behavior I booked a house through this host, but unfortunately, I was unable to use the booking because the host cancelled on me at the last minute without giving any clear or valid reason. Despite the cancellation not being my fault, I was penalized with a R460 cancellation fee, which makes no sense since I never intended to cancel the booking. The situation became even worse when I tried to meet the host in person at the house (as agreed). She had said she would be on site and waiting for me, but as I was on my way, she tried to avoid me and left the property, avoiding direct communication. She then claimed that Booking.com had my full payment of R2,466 and that she couldn’t refund me. However, she later admitted she would only send me the refund after deducting a cancellation fee of around R400, which I was forced to accept in order to get anything back. Eventually, I received only R2,044. This experience has been extremely frustrating and stressful, especially as I urgently needed the full refund to book alternative accommodation. This host is dishonest and manipulative, and in my view, her actions amount to a scam. I strongly advise others to avoid this property and be cautious. The lack of transparency, accountability, and professionalism is alarming, and no guest should have to go through this.

Great stay! The property was clean and located in a secure area, which made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. All facilities were in perfect working order, and I especially loved the picnic table outside it provided a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the evening outdoors. Highly recommend for a hassle-free stay!
