The Paper Fig House

Hier war alles spitze. Wir haben die Unterkunft ganz kurzfristig am gleichen Tag gebucht, weil wir woanders raus mussten und wurden schnell aber herzlich empfangen. Die Ferienwohnung bot uns alles, was wir wollten. Es war super ruhig, alles sauber und gepflegt, die Betten waren bequem die Bäder toll, die überdachte Terrasse hat uns super gefallen. Danke, dass wir hier sein durften, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

You’ll notice the hosts are very at it with their rules (almost to the verge of rudeness) but the communication for their side for guest comfort is lacking. There was no communication to us on checking in regarding a PLANNED electricity outage. We weren’t informed, I had to ask why there was no power and then also had to ask later for an estimated restoration time. Their inverter did allow for lights and TV. No gas, so I couldn’t even boil a kettle for tea let alone reheat something. The bathroom door requires a handle on the inside.

Die Kommunikation vorab war gut, die Unterkunft ist schön gelegen und man hat einen tollen Garten drum herum. Durch die vielen Fenster hat man viel Licht in der Unherkunft, wenn es kalt wird fehlt dadurch jedoch etwas Isolation. Wir können die Unterkunft dennoch empfehlen, vor allem in den warmen Monaten.

CheckOut Zeiten von Booking und in der Kommunikation des Vermieters weichen von einander ab / Man wird sehr rüde per E-Mail draufhingewiesen, dass der Vermieter eine andere Checkout Zeit die strickt einzuhalten ist.

Fantastic location, pet friendly, perfect spot for a few nights. We love staying here it is our 3rd experience at this accommodation and will return in the future!

Cleanliness was good just one small issue but overall no complaints.

La casa di per sé bella, grande, accessoriata.

Non va bene x periodi invernali e autunnali. Troppo fredda. Abbiamo segnalato che una stufa non andava e ci è risposto avete l'altra.... assolutamente non sufficiente a scaldare la casa. Non abbiamo potuto lavarci. Lenzuola e cuscini sporchi con capelli.

The driveway leading to the unit was quite narrow and awkward to navigate, especially with the exterior wall being so close. I was relieved not to be driving a larger vehicle. The parking bay for one of the other units made access even more difficult, as a long bakkie was parked there when we arrived, leaving almost no room to pass. Without my daughter guiding me, it would have been nearly impossible to get through. Fortunately, the next day a smaller vehicle was parked in the same spot, which made passing much easier.
