Yardley Cottage

The host were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were all relaxed and comfortable with everything we needed.

What an amazing location. Great to approach on the dirt road from Gariep to get a real country feel if you have time otherwise out from Colesburg is not far at all. Proper big sky country with amazing hosts.

lovely farm property, we used as a stay over on our way to the coast

Beautifully decorated and recently renovated cottage. Farm atmosphere and geniune hospitality. We stayed over on Christmas Day and was spoilt with generous braai packs, salads, a potato bake to die for and yummy homemade ice cream.

Only thing that need some attention is mesh at the windows and doors and something to repell the flies. They were a bit of a nuisance, however we do understand it’s a farm and the cottage has only been remodelled recently, so an easy remedy. Will still return for another stay as all in all the stay was lovely.

The location was peaceful and quiet.

They could have perhaps supplied some lanterns/torches for loadshedding.
