Hansmeyer Hill - 5 Bedroom House

Very spacious, excellent sea views. Fully furnished in a home away from home set up. Friendly caretaker. Very close to the beach and stores for any necessities. The House was clean and you can see signs of maintenance being done although there is still work to be done. This place is great for couples or groups who want to be together but still have their own space at the same time.

Do not recommend for elderly people!! A full on description of the place on the booking platform would have been appreciated. This house is a multi-level house situated as follows: You park outside the house, just off the street, no access to garage or undercover parking for car safety but we did not have any issues in the days we stayed there. From the street you walk down a few steps to the front door, upon entry there are 4 steps leading up to the 3 bedrooms inside the house. Of these 3 rooms, there is 1 en-suite in main bedroom, consisting of toilet & bath tub with telephone cord shower head. The other 2 bedrooms share one bathroom with a toilet and bath tub with telephone cord shower head and a separate shower room. From the front door landing you go down 2 sets of stairs to the living area consisting of the lounge, dining room, kitchen, scullery, laundry, guest toilet and balcony with braai area. Off the balcony there is a bar area with a toilet. To access the other 2 rooms, you have to go from the balcony down 2 sets of stairs on the outside to the last 2 bedrooms on the lower levels, these rooms have their own bathrooms. As we traveled with elderly people (2 over 60, 1 over 70, 1 over 80) we would have appreciated a concise description of the amount of stairs as well as stating that 2 of the 5 rooms are completely outside of the main house. We did not end up using those 2 rooms outside at all. There did not seem to be a lock on the garden gate, we were told that a previous guest took the keys. One night an alarm apparently triggered and the security guard walked all the way up to the lounge via the balcony garden, it was a shock seeing a man with a gun walking up but thankfully he was there to check on us 😊 He was very friendly and did his job very well. All in all it was a good stay but did not suit our specific needs. Please update house description fully.

The property was absolutely beautiful, and not as outdated as some of the reviews made it seem. A few of the rooms have been renovated. The views from the property are breathtaking. Annie was extremely accommodating and helpful, she was there to answer any questions and made sure to solve problems then and there. The house was clean upon arrival.

The en-suite shower in the twin room on the downstairs floor only has water pressure if you put the water extremely hot or extremely cold. It was not unbearable though.

Like is an understatement. I loved everything about the house, very clean, stylish and very spacious.
