"Vale2Vaal is a great escape from the rat race of Gauteng only 2 hours drive from Pretoria!!"

Dianne met us on arrival and gave us a detailed tour around the house. We never once experienced the load shedding as lights were always on and there was a gas stove / oven as well as gas braai to use during these times. It was quiet and relaxing and we really enjoyed our stay! Dianne and Freddie checked up on us throughout our stay and always ensured we had everything we needed.

There isn't one thing we disliked about our stay. The view was amazing and if you looking for a place to relax and unwind from the city... Vale2Vaal is a must! I do recommend a more SUV or 4x4 vehicle for the sand road closer to the house but we all managed and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

"FANTASTIC FAMILY GETAWAY CLOSE TO GAUTENG"

The whole place was exceptional from arrival until we had to leave - and I say "had to" because we would have stayed longer if we had a choice! It was peaceful and the views were amazing! The kids had so much fun canoeing and the open spaces were a blessing. Truly a hidden gem! Our host Dianne was the best and went over and above to make our stay comfortable... despite loadshedding😁.

The gravel road was testing, but that was part of the adventure. Its not that we didn't like it, it just took some concentration and slow driving to get through it, but manageable even without a 4x4.

Owner walked me through the property to show me where things were. Everything is very secure. It is load shedding comparable with battery lights, gas cooker, generator, etc., luckily not needed this time. Most importantly, we could watch the rugby on Saturday and Wi-Fi is good. Lots to do, from books to read to canoeing. We were 14 people and fitted in comfortably.

Nothing we disliked. The kitchen fridge struggled a bit with all the food we brought in that needed refrigerating, however, in hindsight, we could have used the fridges in the rooms to start us off. It would be great to have a big pump style flask to prevent boiling the kettle too often.
