Great cottage, great host

Beds were really comfortable, it has a very cute and cosy vibe and the heating was also really effective. It was really effective for a weekend trip to Bath. It's also a great set up for a longer stay, given it has a full kitchen, dining and living room.

There were a couple of things that made it just a good stay rather than excellent. First the shower was pretty bad. Very poor water flow and the shower head didn't go up very high which made it hard for my tall partner to get full coverage without having to hold the shower head. We also only got two towel sets for three guests. Each set had one large and one small towel so we could make do. The windows are also really thin and don't block out any noise. The road quietens down after 11pm (ish) but if you're a light and early sleeper you may want to pack earplugs. Also tips that would have made our stay easier: - If you're getting in late, let the hosts know otherwise they turn their phone off. - Ask hosts for the actual street address ahead of time so it's easier to find the property, rather than just going off the street name. The property may also be easier to find in daylight.

Check in was easy. Size of property was appropriate. Property was clean. The villagers were very friendly. Would be a base for travel to Bath if required.

Very poor finish to some areas of the property. Front door was tatty- no letterbox cover. Laminate floorings and bathroom fittings had very poor finishing. The toilet couldn’t be sat on properly due to its position and a very tiny sink. Kitchen was fairly well equipped but lacked some basics e.g colander. Noise from nearby road louder than expected.
