What a wonderful stay! 10/10 hosts that really goes the extra mile. Strong wifi in order to work, but also easy to go offline and take in the beach vibes. Close to Blousloep and quick drive to Swemstrand or shop if you need/forgot anything. Safe. Solar battery operated lights for when load shedding strikes all around (and outside) house. Lekker braai area at the back (with rooster for a vis braai). We received complimentary wine which we felt was such a decent touch!

Little sharp knives to cut anything (which is understandable to not have the best knives in a rental).

Facilities old and dingy broken walls when you promise a guest you are laying in some goods to help them through the first three days and then provide two rolls of single ply toilet paper and a tiny bottle of dishwasher thats just cynical the hostess promised garden chairs for the back braai wich never arrived

Host was waiting for me with keys when i arrived and did not rush me on checkout.Friendly people

No DSTV nor DSTV connection but was not a dealbreaker.enjoyed the company more

Heaven on earth. So welcoming. Perfect location. The ideal place to survive loadshedding.

Took our two kids here and stayed for 3 nights. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The front room with the fire place was amazing with that front ocean view literally across the road. We enjoyed making a fire and going for walks around the house. The balcony area was nice and big too and I think the place will be great for a summer stay in particular

There was a bit of a musty smell in the place but particularly the bedrooms which stayed on the clothes we hung in the closets. Some suggestions to make things better would be extra blankets as there weren't any and was pretty cold at night during start of Sept when we went. Would be good to also replace old utensils in the drawers, they've seen better days. Do away with the plastic on the dining table. And as a bonus I'd suggest removing the wall hanging rug in living room and rather hanging up a nice large framed picture. And I suggest either replaced the old dark wood furniture for lighter more modern beach themed furniture in light grays or whites. Or even just get the existing table and furniture professionally white washed in white or light grey. I suggest repainting the dark wooden doors all round in light grey or white too.
