Mafunyani Cottage

Loved the location, close to village, wine tram, shops and bars. Well equipped house, with everthing we needed except hot water and lights. This is what I thought was unacceptable.

There was a major issue with the water tank and no back up batteries. This was something that could have been addressed before our stay. It's all well and good for the hostess to say it's unfortunate. But every day we had work men there. We were Late getting into property as they where on the roof trying to fix fault,and the girls Where still cleaning the property. Only to find out no hot water once in the house. I an very sorry but I don't want to spend my days on holiday with workmen. And not having the basics in life. We had a full itinery whiles staying here and this impacted on it greatly. The hostess could find time to send two bottles of wine round one day and turn up the morning we where leaving. But couldn't come round the house personally the first night and wait with workman to get this issue sorted. Sorry I think this is totally unacceptable. The pool was not clean. The pool creeper came on at 3 in morning and wake use up. Over all not a happy experience.

Loved it, perfect place to wind down after three weeks travelling the cape. The cottage was 👍 close to the Main Street with all the shops pubs and restaurants. Security at the cottage was excellent and easy to use. Everything we needed was available, the pool was like being in a warm bath.

Clean and tidy. Close to town. A nice place to relax. The pool was an added bonus on this very hot weekend. Nice afternoon nap on the squishy couches.

Sharing a bathroom with family is ok. But you may find it uncomfortable with friends as the toilet is in the bathroom and not separate

Beautiful bungalow near town and just opposite the wine tram start. I walked into town thinking the tram started there so don’t do what I did, it’s almost opposite. House is lovely, pool and outside space lovely. We had a braii. Nice beds

Very clean and well equipped house. The pool was big enough and safe for the kids. We loved having breakfast on the specious patio. Location is perfect. Robin was a responsive host.

The location was perfect being a couple of blocks from the tram line and main road of Franschoek, yet was a very quiet private road. The facilities were excellent and we really enjoyed having a pool. The loungers around the pool were well used. It was very comfortable.

The property was really clean and cozy. The pool was a real treat too! We really loved our time at the house!
