Thatch by the Sea

We chose the property for its proximity to a wedding we were attending at the end of the road in Villa Isabella. The property was spacious and the beds were clean and comfortable. Constance was very helpful. It was lovely to go to sleep to the sound of the ocean. The showers were good. The property felt very secure. We did see dolphins and whales from the beach. The owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

It was a bit tired and some of the soft furnishings were grubby, particularly the cushions on the veranda. There was nothing in any of the cupboards not even a grain of salt or a bottle of water. The toaster is very old and only toasted one side of bread at a time! However I’m guessing that if 10 people were staying the grill would be used rather than the toaster! The nearest supermarket is in KwaDukwza which is a 10 min drive away. One of the wardrobes in the master bedroom was unusable because of damp - there were plenty of other wardrobes. The beach was accessible from the property via a very overgrown path.

Beautiful home with easy access to the beach

The home had a few appliances that could be updated, namely some window levers and the kettle. The bed in the cottage was a bit uncomfortable and could also be replaced.

Connie was amazing and coped with all our washing and cleaning. It was an amazing house and location. Loved the decor and art. It made it a perfect holiday to remember.

The place we stayed at was magnificent. The house was clean, spacious, rooms were nice, the garden outside was up to standard. The beach was the most beautiful thing ive ever seen and ww walk a few seconds to the beach. Literally outside our yard.

We enjoyed how spacious it was and how close to the beach it is! All rooms have aircons, so it made the stay more enjoyable.

The lounge didn't have an aircon, which made it abit hot to sit and socialise. But there was a big balcony door that allowed for the breeze to come through.

We really enjoyed it to just walk out to the beach.
